A couple of hours ago, Samsung mobile tweeted the following message: “Destination tgeltaayehxnx”. After some thinking it quickly became clear that tgeltaayehxnx is an anagram for “The Next Galaxy”.
When visiting the url tgeltaayehxnx.com you will see a count down timer on it. What could this mean?
With an Samsung Mobile Unpacked event just around the corner (May 3rd), it is amazing how little we actually know about Samsung’s upcoming smartphone.
While we have had various leaks with information (especially on a phone with model number GT-i9300) we still have no idea what will happen on May 3rd. Are any of the rumors even true? What we do know is that on May 3rd Samsung will announce the “next Galaxy”, but what phone could this be?
Of course, we hope that Samsung will announce the Samsung Galaxy S3. But they could also announce a different phone, like an upgraded version of the Galaxy S2 (Like Apple did with the iPhone, after the iPhone 4 they announced an iPhone 4s and not the iPhone 5).
Or perhaps they will release a complete new phone? Various rumors talk about a Samsung Galaxy M, could this be an entire new phone, or just a code name for the Samsung Galaxy S3?
It looks like we where right with our last post. Samsung has send out an invite for an Samsung Unpacked event on May 3rd in London. This goes well with the rumor started by Eldar Murtazin that something big is going to happen around May 2nd.
On the invite you can read the tagline “Come and meet the next Galaxy“. Although it doesn’t say anything about the Samsung Galaxy S3, it is more than likely that Samsung will announce the Samsung Galaxy S3 on May 3rd.
Although its to early to determine at what price the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available to the public, we can have a look at what Samsung did in the past with its price tags, and how the market is currently developing.
When the Galaxy S2 came out it was priced at $550 (without contract) or $200 when bought with a two-year contract. Will the Samsung Galaxy S3 have a similar price?
An Samsung exec has stated that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 will use Samsung’s new Exynos 4412 quad-core processor. The quad core CPU will not only improve performance, but will also increase battery life.
But thats not all the Samsung manager had to say. Over the last few years, Samsung has also worked hard on improving its in house telecom chip. Their newly developped chip will combine long-term evolution (4G-LTE), telecommunications and W-CDMA (=3G) functions. Untill now, Samsung was dependend on the modem manufacturer Qualcomm for providing these chips.
We have talked about the Samsung GT-i9300 numerous times before on this site. Why? Because the GT-i9300 could be the codename for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Today Phonearena released a picture showing the GT-i9300, could this be the Samsung Galaxy S3?
Upon further investigation we don’t think that the Samsung GT-i9300 is the Samsung Galaxy S3, lets have a look at what we can tell from this photo.
Just days after a leaked picture of supposedly the Samsung Galaxy S3, another picture has hit the surface. Could this really be the S3? The picture does look promising and real, especially compared to the other leaked picture which immediately raised some doubts.

While Samsung has confirmed that there is going to be a new mobile phone in the Samsung Galaxy S line, the name still remains unknown. With the Samsung Galaxy S I and the Samsung Galaxy S II, it seems obvious that the successor is going to be called the Samsung Galaxy S III.
However, when Samsung releases a new flagship smart phone, next to the international version it releases carrier-specific versions with unique names. For example, in the US, the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 was called the Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S3 hasn’t even been announced, there are already some stores that allow you to pre order Samsung’s next flagship device. Today another store announced that the Galaxy S3 is available for pre order for $800. 
I would like to take this opportunity to warn everyone. Don’t pre order it, the S3 hasn’t even been announced yet and all the specs still remain unknown. So yes, the specifications you see those stores use are fake and probably not what the new Galaxy phone will look like.
Another thing to consider is the price tag, which is still unknown. You might end up loosing a lot of money! Continue reading
And another update regarding the Samsung Galaxy S3 from our number one source Eldar Murtazin. According to Murtazin the Samsung Galaxy S3 has finished the stage of design and testing and has gone into mass production.
His tweet also reveals that operators and retailers are already preordering the Samsung Galaxy S3 at high volume. Which does seem logical after the huge success of the Samsung Galaxy S II and the problems Samsung faced when rolling out the S II in the states.
