Use your mobile phone for an entire day on one charge. This will be possible guarantees Kevin Packingham, vicepresident of product-innovation at Samsung.

Samsung guarantees longer battery life

According to the high ranked manager of Samsung, an entire day of moderate/heavy use should be possible on one battery charge in the future. Packingham has said this in a recent interview with CNet. Many customers nowadays can’t go a complete day without charging the battery, even without using their phone a lot during the day.

According to Samsung this is one off the main issues with today’s smartphones that should be fixed in the near future. How are they planning on doing this? There are various ways:
  • Of course the most easy one is increase battery size, but with the battle for slimmer and slimmer mobile phones this can’t be the only solution.
  • Improve battery technology so a same size battery can store more energy that is used more efficient.
  • And last, but not least , develop new and energy efficient LTE and 3G antennas. As we all know, internet, is what drains nowadays smartphones the most. The way a mobile phone uses WiFi can still be optimized.
This all sounds very promising, especially with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3, will the SIII have a bigger battery compared to the  Li-Ion 1650 mAh the S2 has? We hope it will, especially when you think of the rumours that the S3 might have an (battery draining) quad core on board.
