What is the Samsung Galaxy S3 going to cost?
News April 8, 2012 2,694 views 4 CommentsAlthough its to early to determine at what price the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available to the public, we can have a look at what Samsung did in the past with its price tags, and how the market is currently developing.

When the Galaxy S2 came out it was priced at $550 (without contract) or $200 when bought with a two-year contract. Will the Samsung Galaxy S3 have a similar price?
The smartphone market today
$200 was a reasonable price for the Galaxy S2, but the market has changed with the latest high end smart phones going for prices around the $300 mark (for example the Galaxy Nexus and the latest iPhone 4s with 32GB) combined with a 2 year plan.
With a rumored 1080p screen and quad-core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be one of the best, if not the best, phone on the market, and of course this comes at a price.
Samsung Galaxy S3 price according to Eldar Murtazin
As always, lets have a look if Eldar Murtazin has something to say about the Samsung Galaxy S3 price. Luckely for us, he did on the 13rth of March:

For those of us who can’t speak Russian, here is a rough translation:
Good news for Samsung. The number of pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S3 has hit a record number. However, bad news for Russia – 34000 Rouble and no release untill June.
In comparision, the iPhone 4S 16Gb costs 37000 Rouble and the Samsung Galaxy S2 went for sale at 32000. If these figures are right, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be more expensive than the Galaxy S2, but still cheaper than the iPhone.
So how much is 34000 Rouble really? Using an online converter:
- 870 Euros
- 1160 Dollars
We are interested to know what you are willing to pay for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Are you willing to pay iPhone like prices if all the rumored specs are true? Or would you rather see a price tag similar to the S2, but perhaps with less cutting edge technology on board?
