His tweet also reveals that operators and retailers are already preordering the Samsung Galaxy S3 at high volume. Which does seem logical after the huge success of the Samsung Galaxy S II and the problems Samsung faced when rolling out the S II in the states.

Last week a benchmark of the Samsung GT-i9300 appeared on the GLBenchmark website. We have reasons to believe the GT-i9300 is the codename for the Samsung Galaxy S3, but more about this later. First lets have a look at the benchmark.

This just released benchmark gives us some interesting new information. According to the benchmark the i9300 runs a 720p screen, and a Samsung Exynos processor at 1.4GHz.

Just days after the rumors that Samsung might launch it’s Samsung Galaxy S3 in April, Samsung has made a statement that this is not the case. The Korean company says that they haven’t decided when to launch the S III yet.

The Korean newssite ZDNet reports that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will officially be launched in England during a special press event in april 2012. According to the source the successor of the Galaxy S2 will be promoted during the Olympic games in London ( 27 July to 12 August 2012) of which Samsung is an Olympic partner.

Some days ago BGR.com released leaked specs about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3. BGR claims that the new Galaxy S III smart phone will feature an 8MP camera. This might not seem that interesting (Nokia announced a phone with a 41MP camera!). But its a lot more interesting after the announcement Samsung just made at the Mobile World Congress.

Today Samsung announced a new 8MP CMOS imager (the chip that converts light into the picture you see on your phone). We already talked about another CMOS chip here, which had a size of 1/2.3″. Everyone expected Samsung to publicly announce the third-generation Galaxy S phone during the Mobile World Congress. Some weeks ago Samsung made a statement that this will not be the case.

Instead, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will have its own even in the first half of the year.The reason for this says Samsung is that they don’t like a big gap between a release of the phone in America and Europe / the rest of the world. A spokesperson for Samsung Mobile has stated that there will be no release of the Galaxy S3 on the 22nd of March for sure. Instead, a new version of the popular game Angry Birds, called “Angry Birds: Space” will be released.

If you have followed the release of the Samsung Galaxy S iii as close as we did, you know that the 22 March event was thought to be the date the S3 would be announced. Last week Slashgear hinted that the release of the S3 would coincide with the release of the new game (Which sounded reasonable, looking at the title of the new Angry Birds game).
