Various users have reported battery drain problems with there Galaxy S3. While the phone is on standby, cell standy uses around 20% battery power.
Today Samsung has released an update for the Galaxy S3 unbranded UK version (BTU). The 1MB update will update your modem to version XXLH1 and fix the battery drain issue. The update is available using the normal channels (KIES or OTA).
When the Samsung Galaxy S3 was announced, Samsung stated that it would be available with 16, 32 or 64GB of storage space. However, untill now you could only purchase the 16 or 32 GB versions.
Even if this isn’t enough space for you, there are various other ways to increase the storage space of your mobile phone (64GB micro SD cards are available on the market and supported by the Galaxy S3).
Last week a picture showed up showing a totally black Samsung Galaxy S3, but we did not know if this was another fake, or the real deal.
Today the black version of the Galaxy S3 has showed up on various online stores as well as Samsungs own facebook page, so it looks like we will soon be able to order a black Galaxy S3, next to the already available Pebble Blue and Marble White versions.

We all expect Samsung to release an update that will upgrade the Galaxy S3 to Android 4.1 soon, and in the meantime the internet has been floaded with various ROMS that will allow you to (illegaly) install Jellybean 4.1 on your Galaxy S3, however all of these ROMS lacked Samsung’s own Touchwiz user interface.

Last month the American Provider AT&T announced that they would exclusively offer a Red version of the Samsung Galaxy S3. And without a delay, the Garnet Red Samsung Galaxy S3 is now available at AT&T.
The Garnet Red version, next to the white and blue version, is available online as well as at local AT&T stores.
Although the phone has a different color, the specifications remain the same. The phone has an 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display along with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 8 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, Android 4.0 (and an upgrade to Android 4.1 is coming soon) and of course AT&T’s 4G LTE connectivity.
Some owners of the Galaxy S3 have reported unexplainable cracks in the ‘metal’ edge of the Galaxy S3. According to the people having the problems, the cracks occur without any reason.
The small fractures appear on the top, bottom and sides of the Galaxy S3. The problem doesn’t appear to be to common, out of the million phones in use, only a small amount of users has complained so far.
