No 3D display for the Samsung Galaxy S3
Rumors April 7, 2012 701 views 2 CommentsSamsung has released an official statement that they have no plans to use 3D technology in its upcoming smartphones. This puts an end to the rumors about 3D functionality that started in December 2011.

Last year two phones (the HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 3D) with 3D functionality hit the market, and with Samsung working on adding 3D to its televisions, rumors said that the Samsung Galaxy S3 could feature 3D technology.
The Evo and Optimus never really where a hit, and 3D was more of a gimmick that you could use to show off to your friends. Yesterday Samsung came out with this statement:
“Although Samsung Electronics is constantly exploring new technologies for our mobile devices, we have no immediate plan to include displays featuring 3D technology in our upcoming smartphones,”
Is this a bad thing? Not in my opinion, I’d rather have Samsung focus on perfecting its Super AMOLED technology so we can enjoy a true 1080p display on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3!
