Its been a while since a picture of, what could be, the Samsung Galaxy S3 showed up. Today a new picture has hit the surface, this time in the form of an invite for a press release event on the 22nd of May.

The invite has not officially been released by Samsung, so this could be a leak, or just another fake rumor. Fake or not,  the 22nd of May date goes well with what we know so far, a release somewhere in May or April.

Samsung Galaxy S3 design

Next to the event details, the render on the right side immediatly draws our attention, could we be looking at the Samsung Galaxy S3? Although not much can be seen, the phone looks like its made out of some sort of metal with a different type of material on the back (could this be the ceramic back?). No curve, like used for the Galaxy Nexus, can be seen in the design.

The words “Fast. Vivid. Slim.” sound familiar, don’t they? Maybe because these where the exact same words used to promote the Samsung Galaxy S2 (source)? Wouldn’t Samsung have picked a new tagline for the S3? I think so.

Together with the information that this wasn’t released by Samsung, but leaked, I think we can conclude that this is yet another fake. But of course that doesn’t mean that the May 22nd date is wrong!
