Eldar Murtazin, known for having great connections in the mobile industry tweeted the following message a couple of days ago.

Although the tweet doesn’t say much (Eldar is cryptical in a lot of his tweets), it immediately spread around the internet, could Eldar hint on the announcement date of the Galaxy S3?

The location (London) has showed up numerous times in various rumors as the city where the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be released, but the May 2 release date is new.

The rumor continued

Quickly after Eldar’s tweet, the rumor spread around Twitter. People from the industry replied to Eldar asking to confirm if what they think the tweet meant was true:

Unfortunately, Eldar remained vague with the following reply:

But the next day, Eldar Murtazin made an interesting statement:

Stating that our guess about a May 2nd release date is pretty close

Eldar’s last statement could mean two things:

1. There is a release for another device on May 2nd
2. The Galaxy S3 will be released close to May 2nd (maybe a few days later? )

All the rumors so far point towards a May 22nd announcement date, after which the Samsung Galaxy S3 would be available to the public around the world in a matter of weeks.

So, Eldar hinting on a May 2nd release seems a bit strange. We will know in two weeks what will happen on May 2nd
